It's more of that flowering bush that is very pretty. Not having to support a lawn should save frustration in trying to get grass to grow, and save water spent trying to water the grass. I'm not sure when we will enter our traditional wet season. Usually, not until mid June, but we got almost an inch of rain today at our house, and we may get some more rain tomorrow, but we have been very dry.

I tried to get the grass to grow when we first started, but then the lawn mower broke, and I interpreted it as a sign from above. We then hd some mulch dropped off on our driveway, and spread it over the yard. We've had a few different types of mulch dropped off. This most recent time, we've gone with the pine bark nuggets.
